why is adobe reader popping up at start up?

i have added adobe reader at start up on my computer, i dont remember how i did it to undo it. please be extensive in your answer because i probably wont understand when u use terminology i dont understand......very VERY computer illiterate.i dont know what anything is...... sry

You can try to
1) click My Computer
2) click (C:) Drive
3) click Documents and Settings
4) click All Users
5) click Start Menu
6) click Programs
7) click Startup
8) find the adobe reader shortcut and right click it and then press delete.

Chuck is right. Follow the simple directions and you will not have adobe reader loading at start up. Becareful that you do not delete any programs that are necessary for start up. Good Luck!
