I don't think metal and metal will form compounds.
It's because both of them tend to lose electrons.
They can't form compund with convalent (non-metals only) and ionic (metal+non-metal) bonds.
To become stable, metals have only one structure, giant metallic structures. (for metal element only)
Positive ions are formed ,surrounded by a sea of electrons (from each metal atom)
They are held together by metallic bond.
To conclude, metal in order to be stable,
atoms --> positive ions + electrons
metal can only be stable in giant metallic structure = +ve ions and e held together
