=247*100/38
=650 boys
253/46%
=253*100/46
=550 girls
Total students
=650+550
=1200 students

(38/100)x=247
x=650
therefore, there are 650 boys in the school.
let y be the number of the girls
(46/100)y=253
y=550
therefore, there are 550 girls in the school
