if you over 18 u can have your own right/choice, dont need to care you dad or mum if you sure your fellin gto each other will not be over,it will only need to take a bit longer to make your mum accept it,
if you r not, better not let your mum know, because your mum have the right to stop you being gf ,bf wih him ,
or other way to deal with it , is to call him to wait for a little bit longer, if he love u enough, he wont mind for it , u can used that as a test for your feeling and his as well,
you can makesure that he can do anything for u , even wait.....

dear, i have the same case with you. i'm 20 and i fall in love with a man who is 40. he lives in US and i now live in HK. we've been really happy and relaxed when we are together. feels like we have known each other for so many years already. he is the kind of man that allow me to wake him up in the middle night just to play with him, and he forgives me always even though i betrayed him. i think: this man is really the one i'm looking for. but when we hang out, people are looking at us, wondering how could i be with a man that could possibly be my father. i don't know. i just know if i want this relationship to work, i have to go through a lot of things, it'd be hard. harder than you can imagine. so i give up.

Do you love him as a man who you want to spend the whole life with ?

Is it just because you want somebody to look after you , since your oversea on your own?

You need a company or you need a boyfriend?

How long are you going to stay oversea?

Love is very powerful. And every human being has rights to choose what to do and how to live their lifes. However , do you care if people talk behind you about this relationship? and how your parents feel ?

age is never a matter when you're in love. yet, when you got out of the relationship, then you'll know if age a matter or not. if you ask me, i would tell you to go ahead and be with him. who knows what's in the future. either you don't have regrets for not doing it, or regret that you did it. maybe you guys will get married and have kids. maybe you guys would break up one day and leave nothing behind. nobody knows. best to leave no regrets in your life. you don't want to lose him, be with him. you loved him, be with him. sometimes it's hard to find someone that you love who also loves you. who cares about parents. you're the one who will be living with the man. you are the one who will marry him, not your parents. they should have no say so to that. however, they can give you advise and opinion. they lived longer than you, had more experience than you, maybe knows more than you. marriage and babies aren't the first things that you two should discuss at this stage. so besides that, try it out and see for yourself.

But NOW you are just talking about your feeling... how about him? would he love you that much? You are only talking about yourself.... Did he have any feeling about you? Might be he treat you as a kid... or maybe he is married and looking for new excitement... SO my decision is this... if you are ugly like hell and you cannot find any guys nearby with younger, stronger, and harder (I mean while he is working~) and you know that 40 years old old man would wait for you.... then go for it.....

But I do suggest you to finish your education .... otherwise... without knowledge .... beauty is only a beauty..... finish your school .... then make your decision either you pick him or another young, handsome guy!!

For sure your parents would not allow... beside .... man - without looking at him - could mean he could do anything he want.... maybe he go get anyother girl already... I mean... finished your education... and come back to see if he is worth to marry.You have nothing to lose....
