you don't need to format the computer, just uninstall the last Windows update "Windows Genuine Advantage Notification (KB905474)", which is the software to detect your windows lic, to uninstall it, go to "add/remove program" search for that items, uninstall it, then restart your pc, then the "gold key" stuff should be gone.

Then turn off the windows automatic update options, or else it will install it again for you.

However, from now on you can't get any windows updates from microsoft, since you don't have a valid lic.

I suggest you to purchase those windows pre-installed system, since it comes with the windows and much cheaper than you to purcahse a windows software seperately.
