generated.Before the advent of PMS, it took reservation associates much
longer to learn the features of each room and the various room rates and to
make up the arrivals list

The reservations management component allows the reservations department
to quickly accept reservations and generate confirmations and occupancy forecasts
for reservations taken by the hotel directly and by the CRS.

Most chain-operated or affiliated hotels have a 1-800 number to allow guests to call, without charge,to make reservations anywhere in the United States and, in some cases, overseas.
