16 ounces beef fillet steak, trimmed of fat
4 large shallots, minced
6 cloves garlic, minced
3 ounces coffee creamer
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/8 cup cornstarch
oil spray
pepper
herbs
Season steaks to taste. Spray non-stick pan with cooking spray.
Saute garlic and shallots until golden. Remove from heat. Fry
steaks in the same pan over medium heat 5 minutes per side. Remove
steaks and keep warm.
Deglaze pan with vinegar and red wine if desired. Add dairy creamer
and stir constantly over medium heat. Add cornstarch and shallot
mixture, stirring thoroughly, simmering until thickened. To serve,
place a steak on each plate and drizzle over sauce.
