為什麼要保護歷史文物?

隨著社會不斷進步及時代的變遷，普羅大眾似乎都遺忘了保護歷史文物的需要。其實，每個古蹟的背後都有著不同的故事，這些故事都是我們年輕新一代應去發掘的。
我認為香港的古蹟還保留著其獨有的特色與文化，它們見證著香港的歷史，且種類繁多，包括中西式建築及唐樓等。若古蹟得以保留，便可以提醒我們不要忘記以往的歷史和當中的文化意義。這樣便可以使本地文化得以代代相傳。

文物和考古遺址可以讓我們更清楚了解古代的歷史和人類的發展,而我們亦有責任去保護文物,讓下一代有機會去了解過去的歷史。 ...

With those historical sites, we could know more about the past and the civilization of human beings. Besides, it can give us a sense of belongings, feeling like we are a part of the history. In addition, it also gives us a sense of idendity, knowing who we are and how we come from. Moreover, it can unify the society because it can bring people with different ages and pesonalities together. Last but not least,It can pass on the culture to the next generation.
