RMB has a heavy pressure on appreciation. It is because China is a huge export country, which earn much from overseas. The demand of RMB will then increase and therefore the appreciation will occur until the overseas buyers feel the goods from China is not as cheap as before.
HK$ is linked with US$ at a rate 7.80. Of course there is a strong side 7.75 and a weak side 7.85 under the linked exchange system. HK government will use reserve and set up policy to protect the stability of linked exchange system. So the weak or strong of HK$ will depend on US$. Nowadays, we can see that US$ had a depreciation pressure to other currencies. Therefore, HK$ cannot avoid to be depreciated too.
HK$ will not be replaced by RMB. It is because of the special political status of HK. 1st, China government guarantee the prosperity and stability of HK at least 50 years starting from 1997. The change of currency will have a much influcence about the economy and politics of HK. 2nd, HK is a window of China for attracting and capturing the overseas investment. Overseas investors are more willing invest through HK because of the freedom of trade and stability of exchange rate (avoid the fluctuation).
