Please describe in more details including
(1) How many days for the event?
(2) Who will attend the event? Is it entire company staffs or just some departments?
(3) Details of each category of staffs including male & female ratio and age group.
(4) What is the resaon behind such team building? Is it just for Sales staffs or administrative or supporting staffs?
Usually, such event is to build team spirits and test leadership among participants through out some games. As the boss, it is a good timing to see staffs in same function at same environments for a matter of organizers and leaders performing their organizing power, analytical mind and communication skills. During the game, nobody can hide their true characters.
Game suggestions:-
(1) Fit for all ages including just for fun and warm ups, getting to know each other including family members if the ocassion warrants.
(2) Some games requiring IQ with a little bit of physical fitness to test team spirit.
The above two can be arranged just after the arrival at site and before lunch but do not spend more than 2 hours.
Tehn, allow all participants to have one hour for lunch and it all depends on what kind of lunch format subject to the site environment.
After the lunch, arrange
(3) Just one game requiring a bit of venture such as orienteering but requires the organizer to take care of the possibility of risk and crisis and at the same time to test the participating teams at the same time. Make sure the participants are fit for exercise like this. It should take 2 to 3 hours for such event and you have to arrange enough GAME STAFFS to take good care at differenct check-points with suitable tools including compass, communication equiptment and first-aid kids, water supplies. Check the environment before hand (Site visit before hand is a must, the master planner must be an experience one). After announcing the result, it is about time to make name checking for presence and on the way going back home.
(4) Better arrange the transport for gathering and departure promptly.
(5) A logical budget and sound control. Your boss will watch on this and give his appraisal on your personal file if you are the master planner or member of the planning tem.
(6) Prepare for some prize just for fun and memories.
(7) Don't forget to take photos and shoot movies for golden memories.
