In the web, some say 16bit is high colour 24bit is true colour;
some say both 16 bits and 24bit are high colour 32bit is true colour

16色4位元(bits)，256色8位元，64K色(16位元)(高彩或high color)，16M色24位元(全彩或true color,等於16777K色或16777216色)..I learnt from 198X (~20years ago)
Who can tell me the truth??

高彩, high color, 即 16bit color, 約為167萬色
全彩, true color, 即 24bit color, 約為245萬色, 另外再增加深淺層次就有 32bit color, 都係稱為 true color
一般係電腦市場買到既 LCD Monoitir ,只有 16bit color, 即 LCD 本身最多能顯示 16bit color, 為此睇電影會覺得欠實在感,有時仲會變色起格咁,就因為無法顯示咁多色, 24bit LCD 需要去訂先會有,價錢貴好多
CRT 係以離子作顯示,並無限制,可以話有幾多就出幾多, display card 能顯示 16bit 就係16bit, 32bit 就 32bit, 無失真,色會最準,所以做設計既人,都只用CRT, 24bit LCD 出左先開始有做設計用既電腦轉用 LCD
