1. the probabiloty that the Cubs win their first game is 1/3. the probability that Cubs win their second game is 3/7.what is the probability that the Cubs win both games?
(1) 16/21 (2) 1/7 (3)6/7 (4) 2/5
2. an algebra class of 21 students must send 5 students to meet with the pricipal. how many different groups of 5 students could be formed from this class?

please explain in details!!!

1 if you want to know the probability of two events to be happened with time difference
then you juz multiple the prob. of both events as given...........
i.e. 1/3 *3/7=1/7 (answer 2)

2 i dun have the funational caculator here and I can only provide you with the formula, it should be simply like 21C5

1. P( the Cubs win both games) =1/3 x 3/7
=1/7
So, the answer is (2) 1/7

2. There are 21C5 groups of 5 students could be formed from this class
=20349 groups
