(100 - 37.5 - 45) x 12000/100
= 17.5 x 12000/100
= $2100 per month (savings)

12000 x 45%=5400 (spending)
5400+700=6100 (increased spending)
12000 x 37.5%=4500 (rent)
Savings = 12000 - 4500 - 6100 = 1400

(2100-1400)/2100 x 100
= 33.33% (less in savings)

$12000 X (1-37.5%-45%)
=$12000 X 17.5%
=$12000 X 17.5/100
=$2100

He saved $2100 each month.

The percentage decrease in his savings
=$700/$2100 X100%
=33 1/3 % or 33.33%

The percentage decrease in his savings is 33 1/3 % or 33.33%.
