It's too early to press the panic button just yet. Even though they are missing Shaq, Jason Williams and James Posey... The season is still so young so plenty of time to turn it around. I'm sure they'll win around 50 games no prob, too much experience and talent not to.

Miami Heat got into trouble the 1st game that they played, season opener against the bulls....In their OWN ARENA!!!!!!

They got a whipping!!!!!....Did not and still does not look like "champions" to me.....

I do not see a repeat for this team at all.....Not this year

once they trade shaq they will do good again, shaq is too old and dried out!! but he still continues to be a fat ball-hog, so d-wade needs to be the star of the team not shaq

i'm no longer partial to neither team however the Spurs did no longer even play their A interest. however the warmth did so extra suitable than the Spurs, all those extensive open 3's the Spurs ignored. guy the warmth performed thier *** off at the same time as the Spurs performed a sub-par interest and won. The Spurs offense will out duel the warmth offense plus the Spurs are stout on D, to no longer say that the warmth D isn't besides. yet as quickly as the Spurs get clicking and knock that rust off its a executed deal element, clean era.

The Miami Heat are in deep trouble. Just look at their team. Walker, Payton, Shaq, Mourning? Shaq is injured and the rest are has-beens and way out of their prime. The Heat need to start looking to next season and start playing Simien and Wright.

Yes, that's what happens when the better of the 2 teams doesn't win the finals.

heat is done, and I'm happy.

Pat Riley is furious!!

South Florida Sun-Sentinel -
Wednesday's 20 point loss to the Spurs in many ways was Heat coach Pat Riley's breaking point.

"I'm damned if I'll allow people to crap on this franchise," he said after loudly expressing similar disgust directly to his players in a postgame locker room diatribe that included threats to cut players and eat contracts. "I've been the good daddy. That's history now.

they will turn it around don't know about 50 wins

Yes, they're in deep trouble without Shaq. Without Shaq, they won't make the playoffs. They're an old team, and need Shaq as soon as possible. Also, they need a healthy Shaq. The answer is yes. As we stand today Shaq hasn't been playing, and as a result they're in trouble. A healthy Shaq makes ALL TEAMS MUCH BETTER! He took Orlando to the NBA finals and they had only been in existence a handful of years. That is AMAZING! The Lakers, and now the Heat. With a 75% Shaq they'll get a 6-8 seed. If SHaq misses a chunk of the remainder of the season, they're in trouble.

No reason to panic. Once they get Shaq back it will be good. D wade will pull the team through. Shaq guaranteed another championship win this year.

Its not a Good season for them.
2006-11-24 2:33 am
there is panic...but wade can pull us through
2006-11-24 1:56 am
i hope
2006-11-24 1:51 am

there in trouble that's for sure, there awful i've said this all along they need to trade someone i'm thinking antoine walker, they've gotta get some help and even if shaq, williams and james posey come back soon they'll make the playoffs but they won't get out the first round.

But it is early in the season and anything can happen in the nba look what's happend to chicago after whooping miami in there first game of the season

I wouldnt say its time to panic ,but i would say they better do something about it.With Shaq out they dont have that intimidating presence in the middle, haslem could step up,but he just doesnt have that presence.Wade would need to score at least 35-40 a game to try and keep the heat together. But i do say its to early to write them off
2006-11-24 1:09 am
yep they suck now and no repeat this year of a championchip
2006-11-24 2:57 am
they are in a big trouble
2006-11-24 12:57 am
Its way too early to say that. They started da season a mediocre 11-10 last year and things turned out great. If its like that then Utah should be considered the favorite to take the nba championship because of their fast start. Good teams get slow starts all the time, look at Dallas and Phoenix, U know they are going to contend.
2006-11-24 12:37 am
Its way too early, the playoffs will look similar to the one last year, except New Orleans and Utah will make it as 7 seeds
2006-11-23 11:57 pm
i feel what you are saying i'm trying to keep the faith they pulled it out last year but keep praying i want them to get another championship just to rub it into the lakers face
2006-11-23 11:57 pm
Um, yes. They can't win with Shaq injured unless Dwayne Wade steps up. Now is the time for him to prove himself. I hope he can.
