1. Read more English books. No matter they are easy or difficult, just read them. You would find your English improving once you started reading English books. Set up a target to learn at least how many new words everyday. Never feel bother to look up the dictionary.
2. Read English newspaper everyday. You can start with Young Post (in SCMP) or the Standard, they are easier to read. Or you can subscribe magazines, Newsweek and Times are good choices (personally, I think Newsweek is easier and the topics are more interesting and more suitable for junior and senior forms students). This will increase your vocabulary list.
3. Listen to English news report. Watch the Pearl instead of TVB news every night. At first you may not catch up and don't even know what's going on, but as time goes by, you will find it much better.
4. Do more exercises. This will definitely help you. However, it's more important to be confident to communicate in English. The more you speak English, themore you know about your mistakes. This will help you in grammer and will improve your tenses and composition a lot. At the same time, your English will be more fluent!
