A student of Dr Wu Lung said:[Since v=fλ,f=v/λ,so frequency of wave should depend on v and λ of the wave.}
What is wrong with the statement?

Every different kind of waves have different frequency. The frequency of a wave won't be changed after the wave is generated. So that it should be a constant. Only the wavelength can be changed when the wave travels through different medium. Velocity depends on which medium the wave is traveling through.
I think frequency depends on energy instead of velocity or wavelength. E = hf (Energy = Planck's constant * frequency)
