Every different kind of waves have different frequency. The frequency of a wave won't be changed after the wave is generated. So that it should be a constant. Only the wavelength can be changed when the wave travels through different medium. Velocity depends on which medium the wave is traveling through.I think frequency depends on energy instead of velocity or wavelength. E = hf (Energy = Planck's constant * frequency)
