開coffee shop的步驟

License issues:
1. If your cafe is not big, say around 500 - 1000 s.f, you should apply for a light refreshment license although there's limitation in the menu item.

2. If your cafe is bigger and aims at more revenue, you may apply for a general restaurant license. No limitation in the menu at all. But you may spend more budget on the shop renovation.

3. If your shop is an upstair shop and the traffic is not too high, most perople apply a Club License.

4. BR is a must for a business in HK.

For a new investor, you are very difficult to apply a license by yourself. Suggest to employ a license consultant to get free advices beforehand. (They can evaluate the feasibility for getting a license) Normal consultancy fee is around $10000 to $20000 depending on which license you apply. Cost: from $12,000 to $18,000
