In Europe and North America, Only Canada, France, Ireland and USA allow the citizenship by birth.

like me,I was born in Calgary,Alberta 18 years ago
I can be a Canadian Citzen and benifit all Canadian and Albertan welfares since my birth
however,my parents cannot be a Canadian Citizens UNTIL I reach 18 and I go to apply them as immigrant
(you can move to another provinces freely BUT you need to cancel your licence,health care,etc in your original province)

your child can apply the Canadian Passport as the tempory ID with 6 months valid after birth
after your child gets his birth certificate issued by ANY Canadian provincial or territory government,your child can renew his/her Canadian Passport with 5 years valid
(his/her parents are not a Canadian Citizen even their child is Canucks until your child reach 18)

crews maynot allow you boarding if you are pregnant due to your healthy problem
so come to Canada as early as possible if you want to do it so

Alberta is better because Alberta is the richest province with oil money in Canada
so tax-rate and gas's price are lower than other Canadian provinces a lot
and no PST in Alberta as well
other places have GST+PST when you are purchasing....only Alberta does not have PST in Canada
but very very cold in winter and boring if you cannot skate there
