AOL推出了和Laspersky合作的免費反病毒軟件Active Virus Shield，能夠提供對病毒、間諜件等惡意軟件的基本保護。這款產品開放大家使用，而非只向AOL的會員。

基本上是以 Kaspersky Anti-virus 6.0 為藍圖。少了付費版有的「免疫防護」與「網頁防護程式」。但有著最基本也最常用的「檔案防護」與「郵件防毒程式」。

簡單說，喜歡卡巴斯基但沒錢買，更不想用網路上流傳的授權KEY的人，想享受卡巴斯基又不想花錢，那就用這個防毒軟體
