Identity: R.H.S. is equivalent to L.H.S. , no matter the choice of parameters.
e.g. ( x + y ) ^2 = x^2 +2xy + y^2 is always hold for any values of x and y
Equation: R.H.S. is equal to L.H.S. if the condition(s) is satisfied.
e.g. ( x + y ) ^2 = 0 if x = -y
e.g. ( x + y ) ^2 = x^2 +2xy + y^2 is always hold for any values of x and y
