yes it is definitely an advantage to human's life.

I.T. is concerned with the use of technology in managing and processing information, especially in large organizations. In particular, IT deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and retrieve information.

Some of the people might think IT is a disadvantage to human's life, for example they will think there is lack of privacy and also they might lose their job because IT can replace them. To me, I think it is how you manage and go with the flow, but not blaming on the new technologies.

Good side of IT includes:
1. Government can manage and organize citizen's data information, behavior, life pattern, age, income...etc, so that they can plan the city better.
e.g After we have the new ID card, it is way faster than lying up to wait for custom clearance.

2. We can contact our old friends that were lost connection, by finding them on the web.

3. now we can know more update news such as weather, business news, traffic..etc.

4. advocating policies that advance the industry’s growth and development;
facilitating international trade and investment in IT products and services;

5. strengthening industry associations through the sharing of knowledge,
providing members with a vast network of contact, experience, and critical information in nearly every geographic region of the world

IT has actually saves us a lot of effort, workload and time. It is about how to manage it.
So there is another name for IT, it is MIS. Management Information System.

IT is both an advantage and a disadvantage for life.
first of all, IT helps ppl in life. for example, efficiency would be higher.
however, if IT is too gd, den human would only use IT. den dey wont work and human would deprove.
