I wan to ask the difference between HCO3 (-) and CO3 (2-).
I have just done an experiment to analysis the unknown compound. we found out that the compound is either K2CO3 . nH2O or KHCO3.nH2O, can anyone answer ??

is that adding the compond into MgSO4 solution MgCO3 and Mg(HCO3)2 are formed
MgCO3 do not disslove in water,but Mg(HCO3)2 will dissolve in water
i am not sure the ans ,but you can check which of the metal CO3 will not dissolve in water,but HCO3 will dissolve so
