1.相對論是關於時空和引力的基本理論
2.相對論的基本假設是光速不變原理,相對性原理和等效原理
3.相對論提出了「同時的相對性」,「四維時空」「彎曲空間」等全新的概念
4.相對論分為狹義相對論(特殊相對論)和廣義相對論(一般相對論)。

狹義相對論(特殊相對論):
1.物理規律在任何的慣性參考系中是相同的。
物理規律對於一個在具有相對性的質子上的觀察者和一根靜止在實驗室里的觀察者是相同的。
2.光速在真空中是恆定不變的(具體講是299,792,458米每秒)。

廣義相對論(一般相對論):
1.「等效原理」引力和慣性力是等效的,重力場和加速場是等效的
2.引力是時空局域幾何性質的表現。
3.物體的運動方程參考測地線方程。測地線方程只取決於時空局域幾何性質。

物體只要不受到外力的作用,就會保持其原來的靜止狀態或勻速運動狀態不變。:

This equation show us that energy can becom mass. From this equation, we also see that nothing can travel faster then light. This is because when an object move faster, it kinetic energy would increase. From the equation above, the energy would turn into mass. This mass would make it harder to accelerate as F=ma. Therefore it is not possible to reach speed of light.
