School Life

Blackboard, Blackboard,
What did you see?
I saw pupils with ribbons on their hair,
Sitting straight on the chair.
I saw pupils listening attentively,
With the teachers teaching them patiently.

Playground, Playground,
What did you see?
I saw prefects on duty.
I saw the girls playing joyfully.
I saw students chatting and singing,
Some of them waiting till the bell rang.

Tuck Shop, Tuck Shop,
What did you see?
I saw pupils buying some snacks,
Some of them help to take the bags.
I saw teachers walking around,
Remind them not to make loud sounds.

Our School

Over the six years,
Over the six years,
Is so short,
that I can’t feel
the joyfulness
it brought me.
I would like time
To be still,
Let me stop and see.

Over the six years,
Over the six years,
It brought me happiness
It brought me love and knowledge
It taught me the meaning of kindness.
It taught me to be a loving lady
and not to be lazy.
In the pleasant environment,
In the red brick building,
In Maryknoll,
In the seeds that the sisters sowed
I learn and grow.

I'm from Maryknoll, so may be you need to change some words.

I'm from DGS! I have very good english! The poems are graded 9.5 points and 10 is the full mark.

My favorite place is school,
I have a good time in school,
No school in Saturday, Sunday,
Millstone River, go, go, go!!!

xxx (name of school) is my school,
everybody says my school is cool.
Classes start before eight o'clock,
but don't end until three o'clock.

Teachers tell us do not come in late,
at eight o'clock we run through the entrance gate.
Everybody is so happy when the teacher says,
'This is the end of the school day!'

Although the classroom walls are painted grey,
through the windows you can still see the sun ray.
Days after days and years after years,
still in this room are a lot of cheers!

My school is a happy place,
I meet my classmates everyday,
We go to school without being late,
We greet politely to the NET teacher Miss Grey.
She replies: Have a nice day!
