Theoretically, there are 10 Managerial Rope in management namely Figurehead, Leader, Liaison, Monitor, Disseminator, Spokesperson & Entrepreneurs, Disturbance Handler, Resource Allocator, Negotiator.
For instance, manager acting a figurehead (a symbol of representative for the company) and perform this leadership (to be a leader). His work includes monitoring the staff’s performance and their progression. Sometimes, manager will manage a public speech to the public in explaining the company’s policy and goal. Moreoften, manager need to be a good disturbance handle (handle emergency situation). For most of the time, he need to be allocating the staff effectively (to be a good resource allocator) and responsible for negotiate with the suppliers or Labour union (negotiator).
Nowadays, management should have all these 10 special characteristics into order to be a successful leader in carrying out the organization goal with his followers (staffs). Manager is managing an important role which can affect the organization as a whole. It is because successful leadership can lead the staff to accomplish their works effectively and efficieintly. And the leadership is always contingent on his followers’ readiness and willingness. This is a art of how the manager can lead his staff to perform their best in work or train his staff to have a suitable performance.
