1. when a satellite is a distance A from the center of Eath, the gravitational forcel of attraction between the satellite and Earth is F. what is the gravitational force of attraction between the satellite and Earth when the distance from the center of Eaarth is 3A.
please explain in details

gravitational force of attraction between two masses M and m
= GMm/r^2
where r is the distance between the two masses.
If at distance A, Force = F
Then F = GMm/A^2
Now, if distance becomes 3A,
gravitational force of attraction
= GMm/(3A)^2
= (1/9)GMm/A^2
= (1/9)F
The new gravitational force of attraction = F/9
