gravitational force of attraction between two masses M and m = GMm/r^2
where r is the distance between the two masses.
If at distance A, Force = F
Then F = GMm/A^2
Now, if distance becomes 3A,
gravitational force of attraction
= GMm/(3A)^2
= (1/9)GMm/A^2
= (1/9)F
The new gravitational force of attraction = F/9
