大假有分長短，如果只是 1-3 日，則用 holiday，否則，用 vacation 會比較貼切，因為 vacation是放大假，有一段日子不會在公司工作，真正relax之用

He is on vacation until next Wednesday(or 其他日子或不加”until nex XXXX”), May I help you ？

英文電話對答，可說數之不盡
單單就你同事不在就可以有很多理由和說法，如：

XXX has just gone out for a while. Would you like to leave a message ?

He is not right now.
No one answers in XXX office
He’s out for lunch util one
He’s here but he’s not at his desk right now
He has not come to the office yet
She is away from her desk now
I’m sorry, but he is out right now
She is out of the office until three p.m.

至於休假，又有：
He is off today
He’s on vacation this week
He is taking a day off
She is on vacation until next XXX

若想問對方是否需要同事回電，可以說：
Would you like her to call you back?
I’ll have her call you back when she gets back她回來時我會請她回電給你
I’ll tell her to call you back.

還有很多其他情況，難以在這裏介紹，其實你若想學這些英語，可到書局找這類的書，我家中有一本，內容淺白易明，有實用，名叫《電話英文很輕鬆》，你可以到書局看看是否適合你。
