Extraplayer download

A video record from the webcam in which in avi format. Since I would like to convert to mp4 format, so download the extraplayer. However, when download the extraplayer, problem occurs, a screen pop up and says "ExtraPlayer.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close...". Why? Please help, thanks
