Most tourist attractions will be closed during Christmas from 24th to 26th Dec. So try to avoid coming in those dates. Most supermarkets and restaurants will be closed on 25th and 26th... so if you come around that time... you may want to stay with local friends, otherwise, there isnt much you can do.

Starting from Waterloo Station, you can have a nice walk all the way along River Thames to London Eye, Big Band, Parliment, West Minister, St James Park, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park... Of course, British Museum is a must and if you enjoy galleries and museum, visit Tate Modern (modern arts), National Gallery, Shakespare Globe, V&A, Natural Science Museum... For shopping, there are Harrods, Oxford Street... Soho for nice food and pubs. Finally, China Town (Leicester Square) for a little taste of Chinese!

Christmas is an important festival for British people - so many shops will close on the Christmas Day (December 25th) and the Boxing Day (December 26). Because it is also the Winter time, many meseums will close early.

On the Christmas Eve, go to Trafagular Square. Many people will be there to celebrate (like the Times Square and Lan Kwai Fong). Trafagular Square is just 10 minutes walk from the China Town and can be reached by underground.
