Living and working in Macau

what do u mean by "retire "? staying there or enjoy the social benefits there?
if you just want to stay there, of course that's no problem. HK ppl can stay in macau for one year without any extra permit.

HK ppl dun need to apply for working permit a few years ago, but now, you need to apply for a work permit before you work there. First of all, find an employer and ask the employer to apply for you.

macau's labour pool is now filled by lots of HK ppl. most of the HK ppl there are working in the management level, cuz macau itself's labour pool is too small, and ppl believe that HK's education is better than macau's.

u must first find a Macau employer wants to employ u,

then this employer would help u to apply the working permit over there,

but normally u can retire in Macau!
