to avoid cross contamination... they help to keep the patient from getting whatever germs are present on the surgeon's hands and it prevents the surgeon from contracting disease's that the patient may have that's body fluid or blood borne (HIV/Aids).

To put it simply, surgeons wear gloves during surgery to protect themselves and the patient. But it's more of the former than the latter.
Many viruses and bacteria can be transmitted through blood. The most important of these blood borne diseases include HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C. By wearing gloves, the surgeon protects his hands from direct contact with the patient's blood.
Gloves, to a certain extent, also protect the surgeon from needle stick injuries, or injuries caused by other sharp surgical instruments.
Gloves also protect patients from the surgeon's bare hands. Hands are one of the dirtiest parts of the human body. So gloves prevent dirt and bacteria from the surgeon's hands from getting in contact with the patient during surgery.

Ive forgotten the regulation yet sure there's a regulation that demands a doctor to positioned on in any respect actual situations gloves. that's to circumvent any form of micro organism/virus and so on from shifting host to host. go see a lawyer i think of that's decrease than the malpractice regulation yet i'd desire to be incorrect.

Gloves serve as a barrier.

I guess this is to make sure germs or virus do not get to patients through doctors' hands and also prevent doctors to get infected from patients.

it is impossible to wash your hands 100%. the gloves are a barrier for what doesn't get cleaned or sterilized.

Think of all the bodies they go in and out of. They don't want your disease, and in case they have something, they don't want to give it to you. You dont' want them sticking the hand they just ate bbq chicken into you, do you?
