A new technology -- Robot Cop is invented making a great fall in the crime rate.Statistics show that the need for securit guard service is halved.

咁我想問係咪即係要降低個quantity demand..要降幾多?_?係咪任我降呀..佢都冇比個數我去降..叫我statistics, 後日交功課..謝謝解答..

Robot Cop and Security guard are subsitute goods.
From your question, the demand for security guard (not quantity demand) will decrease because of the efficiency of robot cop. The demand curve will shift to left hand side. Therefore, the equilibrium price and the equilibrium quantity of security guard will decrease.
This question is not calling for statistics, but would like you to answer the demand of security guard would decrease due to the subsitution of robot cop. 想你要明白demand及quantity demand的分別!!
