溶點(melting point), 是指所有物質由固體(solid)轉化成液態(liquid)的溫度。基本上, 大部分金屬的溶點都很高, e.g. 銅(copper) 的溶點是1083攝氏度. 但有些非金屬的溶點也很高, 如碳(carbon)的溶點是2652攝氏度。氣體(gas)的溶點則非常低, 如氫(hydrogen)的溶點是-259攝氏度.

溶點與沸點(boiling point)相反, 沸點是指物質由固體轉到氣體的溫度.
