Strength

１）國泰有很大的飛行網絡，而且加入了ＯＮＥＷＯＲＬＤ，基本上搭國泰機可以去到世界很多地方。
２）香港位於交通樞杻，香港人多做國際貿易和旅遊，客戶多。
３）國泰的服務質素高，比其他航空公司優勝。
４）國泰在香港獨大，缺乏競爭對手。
５）國泰的空姐很多來自菲律賓和南亞，相對來說工資平。
６）國泰賺大錢，因此有錢換機，機隊新。
７）香港人有好多移民海外，回港時多坐國泰。

Weakness

１）國泰的機師工資太高，比市場高很多。而國泰又沒有決心去從香港自行訓練機師，因此被機師公會玩死。
２）國泰的空姐很喜歡罷工，又係將國泰玩死。
３）國泰英資背景，入大陸發展受阻。搞到要收購港龍才可以玩落去。
４）香港政府對開拓新的航權表現不滯。

Opportunities

１）中國市場很大，國泰可以積極發展。
２）國泰沒有南美洲航線。
３）很多中國和東南亞的航空公司都經營不好，可以進行收購。

Threat

１）油價
