Communication can be defined as the process by which ideas, information opinons, attidutes and feelings are conveyed from one person to another. (McClave, 2004) It is a two way process: sender encode a message through verbal or nonverbal channel, deliver it to receiver. Receiver received this message decode it into the meaning of the message.

Barriers of communication can be various. The most common barriers is "Language". Any of the mistakes in spelling, grammar or jargon used, if the receiver do not understand, commumnication breakdown may caused. Nonverbal barriers could be poor listening skill, or attitudinal barriers e.g. sterotyping or prejudice.

To be communicated effectively, the sender should think carefully about the objective before commmunicating, choose the right channel to deliver the message, consider the context and check for feedback frenquently. As a receiver, give the message full attention, interpret the message correctly and respoind appropriately are recommended.
