What is the meaning of the symbols below? and how does it apply to the poe's story
1)The Ravens
2)Pallas
3)midnight
4) December
5) the richly furnished room contrasted with the storm outside
6)the storm..
Plz help me i don't know any of these

First of all, it's not a story, it's a poem. Pallas was a Greek goddess, possibly a symbolic reference to Lenore. The Raven is symbolic of death and darkness, as are midnight and December (the last month of the year...the end). Again, the storm sets the tone for the speaker's state of mind.

Poe's "Raven" if I remember, is about a
man's sorrow for his lost love,Lenore.
The Raven symbolizes death, midnight is
the haunting ghostly hour,December is bleak
and dreary, (pallas, am not sure) the furnished
room contrasts w/ the storm, because once
he was happy,and her loss has made him sad,
it shows the turmoil inside his heart, although he
is in a nice room, hope this helps kiddo. I did
a lot of "Poe" in HS.
