21.A shopkeeper bought a table at $460, 6 chairs at $90 each .He sold the table at a profit of 30% and the chairs at a loss of$5%.
a)Find the profit from the table.
b)Find the loss from the chairs.
c)Find the total cost for the table and chairs.
d)Find the overall profit percent.

a, profit from the table
= $460 x 130% - $460
= $598 - $460
= $138

b, loss from the chairs
= $90 x 6 - $90 x 6 x 95%
= $540 - $513
= $27

c, total cost for the table and chairs
= $598 + $513
= $1111

d, overall profit percent
= [$1111 - ($460 + $90 x 6 ) ] x 100% / $460 + $90 x 6
= 11.1%

=$552
b)90*6*(1-5%)
=$513
c)460+6*90
=$1000
d)(552+513-1000)/1000
=6.5%
