a)How much does he save each month?
b)If his salary and rent remains unchanged, and he wants to spend $800 more on other expenses, find the percentage decrease inhis savings.

A) $16000(1-35%-45%)
=$3200
B)ORIGINAL EXPENSES=$16000*45%
=$7200
NEW EXPENSES=$7200+$800
=$8000
RENT=$16000*35%=$5600
NEW SAVINGS=16000-5600-8000=$2400
% DECREASE= (3200-2400)/3200 *100%
=800/3200 *100%
=25%

a) 16000-(16000*35%+16000*45%) = $3200

b) new monthly saving =3200-800 = $2400
% decrease in his saving = ( 3200/16000 - 2400/16000) * 100% = 5%
