Most of the people are not polite. When you are in the MTR, you can hear teenagers swear and people speak in a high volume. Most of the time people don't give up seat to people that are needed. If you got beated up on the street, only one out of ten people would come to help you because they were squeamish. So oveall, people are not polite in HK

Hong Kong is a busy city. Everyone are faced with daily stresses. Unless they are working in a customer service role, they do not really go out of their way to be friendly or polite to strangers. Of course, there are exceptions.

Hong KOng people is generally polite. They greet each other in the morning when they meet. They also offer their seat to those in need when on the public traffic....
