香港的男校女校點解不轉男女校？20點題目

Well there are lots of reasons.
Traditionally, people believes that either boys' schools or girls' schools is better than co-ed school due to a variety of reasons, for example, the prevention of sexual harassment, reduce the possibilities of student's involvement in any relationships(thus allowing them to concentration on their studies, and this is the MAIN REASON), enhance the interaction between students(most people act freely among peers with same sex other than the opposite), etc..
Well you know all those 10As or 9As or whatever...most of them are from either boys' schools or girls' schools(DBS, DGS, La Salle, Queens).
Moreover, statistics conducted by the goverment shows that the average academic results from those boys' and girls' school are a lot better than those of co-ed schools...
Well of course there are negative sides of studying in either a boys' school or girls' school, however, it's just like a business - there is always trade off

如沒人讀男校or女校,要殺校,一定會轉男女校

本人曾讀女校...所以可以解說:1)如果將男校女校改男女合併的學校..首先要全校的洗手間要全部裝修...你無理由叫一個男仔入女廁吧..
2)全校的校服要全新改造..無理由男女既校服唔match..
3)重整校風..及重新招生(依樣比較煩)
4)重新教育佢地既觀念...因為之前一向讀男/女枚既學生..言行舉止會比較粗魯..

在學生不足情況下，十分多的男校和女校也希望轉做男女校。除了非常名的學校，家長都不願意子女入讀單性別學校。

但單性別學校，是十分困難轉回男女校。原因如下：

1. 學校傳統 --- 若說因一直係男校，所以不轉是廢話。主要係校董會的老人家不喜歡改變。而學校的長遠生死，對這班老人不是考慮因素。學生、老師 和 校長想改？真是你有你想，佢一句say no，校長也只有收聲。

2. 宗教背景 --- 大部份單性學校也是有宗教背景。而有宗教學校，這麼重要變動，一定要經辦學教會一番討論。而幾十個人討論，不但費時，而且往往得不到一致的見解 (除了大是大非之事)，最後動議不能通過。

3. 收生亦難 --- 若閣下會否讓愛女入一所一所中二至中七，全男的中學？讓愛子入讀大部份女生的中學情況一樣。而這個疑慮，往往是校董、校會否決改變的重要論點。

4, 老師亦難 --- 女校通常10個女老師未有1個男教師。在單性學校的老師性別比例也有嚴重傾斜。突如其來的轉制，老師性別比例應改變嗎？若改，你能收更多學生，增加老師？在不能加老師前題下，如何改變比例？要知道學校不能用 "轉男女校" 為由辭退老師，這當然也不恰當。

當然，也有學校成功轉男女校。而它一定付出多年(包括轉變前和後)的努力。

學校原來的設備, 老師同課程, 都係跟原來的設計去做
比如說洗手間就係啦!
我以前讀男校, 一層就只有一個洗手間, 而且, 全都是男的. 也沒有家政室, 更夜室也只有一個
所以, 要改男女校, 首先要個設備得先有得講.

每間學校都有自己嘅傳統, 有自己嘅一套辦學理念. 唔會咁容易轉架.

怕女怕男.
