Red:
catch red-handed - someone caught in the course of wrongdoing
see red - become very angry

Green:
green with envy - jealous
green about the gills - looking ill
the grass is always greener on the other side - a different situation always seems better than one’s own

Blue:
once in a blue moon - rarely, once in a very long time
between the devil and the deep blue sea - between two equally difficult or unacceptable choices
black and blue - badly bruised

Black:
black sheep - the least reputable member of a group; a disgrace
look black - appear threatening or unfavorable

White:
white lie - an unimportant lie (especially one told to be tactful or polite)

Silver:
born with a silver spoon - born wealthy, or fortunate, or both
silver lining (shortened from “every cloud has a silver lining”) - a hopeful or comforting prospect in the midst of difficulty
