1. When the ratio is 5:7 , Tom will have 5 / 12:
So, Tom's money is: $1920*(5/12) = $800
and,
Harry's money is: $1920*(7/12) = $1120

2. Rover's money is: $120000, and Terry's money is: $150000
First, calculate their ratio of both of them: 120000/150000 = 4:5
If they have profit is $90000, the equation is:
Rover can shared: $90000*(4/4+5) = $40000
and
Terry can shared: $90000*(5/4+5) = $50000

(1)
The money Tom got:
$1920x5/(5+7)
=$800
The money Harry got:
$1920x7/(5+7)
=$1120

(2)
$120000:$150000=4:5
Therefore the ratio of the profit of $90000 they shared is 4:5
Rover shared:
$90000x4/(4+5)
=$40000
Terry shared:
$90000x5/(4+5)
=$50000

1)
5x + 7x = 1920
12x = 1920
x = 160

Tom got 5 x 160 = $800, Harry got 7 x 160 = $1120

2)
Ratio of Rover to Terry = $120000:$150000
= 4:5
therefore, Rover can share $40000, Terry can share $50000 for $90000 profit.
