1a. The distance on the map

=200000/100000

=2cm

1b. The actual length of the river

=8*100000/100000

=800000/100000

=8km

2. His monthly expenses

=14000*7/5

=98000/5

=$19600

3.The value of the smaller part

=126/(4+5)*4

=126/9*4

=14*4

=56

The value of the larger part

=126-56

=70

1a 100 000/2*1000*100=100 000/200 000=0.5cm
b 8*100 000=800 000cm=8km

2 14 000*(5/7)=$10 000

3 First part:126*4/(4+5)=14*4=56
Second part:126*5/(4+5)=14*5=70
The two parts are 56 and 70.

1a) because 1km=100000cm
therefor 2km=200000cm
(200000/100000)cm =2cm

1b) because 1cm = 100000cm=1km
therefore 8cm * 100000= 8000000=8km

2 ) 7:5 = 14000: 10000
His monthly expenses are $100000

3) 4:5 = 56:70
