p.v means passive voice while a.v. means active voice. it seems that there is sth wrong with your typing or cencept. ;p
s+v+o (sentence 1b and 2b as follows) is active
while
s+being+v (past participle)+o (sentence 1a) is passive (continuous tense).
1a. i am invited to a party (by May). (this is passive voice in present tense, not active voice)
=
1b. May invites me to a party. (this is active voice in present tense)
2a. i am being invited to a party (by May). (this is also passive voice but in present continuous tense)
=
2b. May is inviting me to a party. (this is active voice in present continuous tense)
pay attention to the changes in tenses. whether to add by somebody or not depends on your preference/ content. it is not a must to add that when using passive voice.
hope this can help you.
