Travel from Madrid to Barcelona, you may travel by train :Night train - it takes 9 hours, 2nd class fare is around €35--€42
Day train - it takes 5 hours, one way fare is around €60

Also, you may consider to buy a Eurail Pass for travel in Spain -
2nd class €140 for 3 days, addition €24 for each day
1st class €180 for 3 days, addition €28 for each day
