Mrs Yuen is paid by the hour as a translator.her hourly wage is increased by 15%,but due to pergnancy, she has to reduce her working hours in a week by 20%. what is the percentage change in her weekly income?

The percentage change in her weekly income =[(%increase in wage) * (%decrease in working hours) - 1 =
(1 + 15%) * (1 - 20%) - 1=
115% * 80% - 100% =
92% - 100% =
8% (decrease)
