Assume a computer is rated at 220 V, 2000 W.

What is the resistance of its heating element and the current (I) through it?

P = V^2 / R

2000 = 220^2 / R
R = 220^2 / 2000
R = 24.2 ohm

P=VI

2000 = 220 * I
I = 2000/220
I = 9.0909A OR 100/11A
