*欲速則不達*的英文是什麼呢??

Haste makes waste 是說: 如果你得個急字, 而無好好計畫或準備, 咁就會做成不必要的浪費.
More haste, less speed 是說: 如果你一味急, 你會好容易犯錯, 而最終會令到你的速度/進展更加緩慢.

以上兩句都是英語裡的地道諺語, 坊間多把它們當作「欲速則不達」的譯句. 若單就此兩句作一個比較的話, 當以第二句意義最相近. 然而, 若「不達」是指「最終不能達到目的」的話, 則兩句都不能完全表達原意. 應該用 Haste will lead to failure (導致失敗) 或 Haste will lead to nowhere (最終什麼也去/做不成) 才對.
