What is 縮合作用?

縮合反應即加成消去反應，是指兩個反應物進行加成反應時消去細小的分子(通常是水或HCl)。例如以下酯化反應：
CH3COOH + CH3CH2OH = CH3COOCH2CH3 + H2O
乙酸(CH3COOH)與乙醇(CH3CH2OH)加成，但同時放出細小的水(H2O)分子，形成乙酸乙酯(CH3COOCH2CH3)。

縮合作用是兩個化合物合一的時候的反應,在反應中會有水或者其他化合物生成,可以是吸熱或放熱的反應,例如脂肪酸同甘油反應,會有水同脂肪生成

縮合作用 is condensation. It is addition of one molecule to another with elimination of small moelcule such as water or ammonia. For example, condensation of two glucose molecules with elimination of water to form maltose.
