The correct answer should be :1/3(t+9)=1/3-0.5( t+3)
1/3t+3=1/3-(0.5t+1.5 )
1/3t+3=1/3-0.5t-1.5
1/3t+3-3=1/3-0.5t-1. 5-3
1/3t+0.5t=-25/6
5/6t=-25/6
t=-5
Check:
1/3(-5+9) = 4/3
1/3-0.5(-5+3) = 1/3 - 0.5(-2) = 1/3 + 1 = 4/3
